Serenity Therapeutic Women's Retreat

Our Women's Therapeutic Retreat Week is created especially for women looking to find time for themselves and enhance their personal development through a Talking Therapy and Sound Therapy Retreat with Mindfulness and Meditation, Yoga and Somatic Movement.


Treat your body, spirit and mind to a wonderfully uplifting therapeutic retreat experience where you will be guided and supported along the way. There will be plenty of tea, talking, walking, empathy and laughter on the menu. If you need to get away on your own for a while, we will be looking forward to welcoming and taking good care of you.


We understand that sometimes people need someone independent to listen to and support them as journey through life's ups and downs - without fear of being judged and in total confidence. As a professional counselling psychotherapist, your host, Theresa is that person for you. 


The Serenity Women's Therapeutic Retreat is reserved exclusively for women.

On this residential retreats we include five nights accommodation in a private room, with arrival Sunday anytime from noon onwards and departure Friday morning after breakfast.

You will enjoy five healthy breakfasts at 09:00am, five home-cooked lunches and supper at 6:30pm along with all refreshments while at your new home away from home.

Our itinerary includes a careful daily balance of activities - to include three hours combination of intensive Talking Therapy and Sound Therapy with Mindfulness and Meditation, Mindful Awareness Nature Photography. 


Yoga and somatic movement body work sessions of 90 minutes duration with a specialist Yoga and Somatic Movement practitioner are an optional extra activity that can be arranged on your behalf


Not too much and not too little of any one activity! It is planned and paced so as to allow you ample time to relax and unwind, spending time with people and some time alone. We will guide and support you as best we can, as much or as little as you need. Your time is precious and we strive to optimise how we can best support you during your retreat. 


We will also enjoy personal free time during outings to two of Irelands historical monastic sights, affording us the opportunity to walk mindfully 'in the present' amongst natures splendour whilst retracing ancient pilgrim paths. 

We will collect you from our local train station in Thurles if you decide to arrive by train, advance ticket purchase is available on

Airport collection can be arranged at an additional cost.

Retreat durations can be longer than our 5 night stay, please contact us if you would like to extend your visit.

Participation in any of the activities is entirely optional.

Arrival at your preferred time with light refreshments upon arrival.

15:30 - 16:30 Walk around the Serenity Residence and shown to your private room. 

16:30 - 17:30 Sound Therapy Meditation

17:30 - 18:00 Free Time at residence
